Exception to Stalking & Harassment Act
As part of the Stalking and Harassment Act, the legislature adopted a separate statutory section setting out exceptions to the general provisions of the Act. Under §30-3A-4(A), picketing or public demonstrations that are either lawful or arising out of a bona fide labor dispute are not covered by the Act. Under §30-3A-4(B), another exception to the Act involves a law enforcement officer engaged in the performance of his or her duties.
