Health-Related Leave: Episode
How the Program Works (1 of 5)

This program is designed to assist court managers with the legal aspects of employment leave taken for health reasons. It consists of an interactive dramatization and key resource materials.

The four drama episodes listed in the left frame show typical health-related leave situations. They illustrate and explain some, but not all, of the basic health-related leave issues you are likely to encounter.

The resources, also listed in the left frame, offer a wealth of useful information. They include Case Studies, Law Library, New Mexico Judicial Personnel Rules, Personnel Profiles (of the fictional characters in the dramatization), and Procedures and Forms for Workers' Compensation and the Family and Medial Leave Act.

This program is general in nature and should not be used as legal advice. You should seek guidance from the AOC Human Resources Office or assigned legal counsel whenever you have a question of interpretation or procedure. Please note that the material contained in this program is current as of April 1999.

This program was adapted for the Internet under grant SJI-98-N-201 from the State Justice Institute.
