Two weeks into the campaign, a local lawyer, A.D. Vocatt, approaches Judge Garcia’s opponent, Charlie Gerr. Vocatt tells Gerr how awful the judge has been for tort plaintiffs, how he dreads trying his tort case in his court next week, and wishes Gerr could hear the case instead.
