Hearing cases under the Family Violence Protection Act makes for very challenging work for DV Commissioners, Judges and Hearing Officers. This seminar is designed to support the judiciary’s work in adjudicating domestic violence protective order cases. Seminar sessions will explore recent changes to both state and federal law, as well as various specialized domestic violence topics such as Batterer Intervention Programs and the new Uniform Interstate Enforcement of Domestic Violence Protection Orders Act which will become effective July 1, 2013 in New Mexico.

This program is by email invitation only.  Attendance limited to DV commissioners, hearing officers and district judges who hear cases under the Family Violence Protection Act.

There is no registration fee.
