This year's focus is on neuroscience, social science, and emerging technologies. The program also includes civil procedure, criminal law, and confrontation law updates. In addition, there will be numerous workshops relevant to the work of judges and attorneys affiliated with the New Mexico judiciary and separate shirtsleeve sessions for judges, DV commissioners/hearing officers, and staff attorneys.
There is no registration fee for this year's program.
Who Can Attend
All district, metropolitan, and appellate court judges are required to attend the Judicial Conclave unless excused by the Chief Justice. Retired judges drawing retirement pay and not actively practicing law are invited to attend, as are tribal judges, DV commissioners and hearing officers, court staff attorneys and AOC attorneys.
