Domestic Violence Training for Frontline Court Staff

Online training for court staff covering domestic violence dynamics, fundamentals, and safety.

The New Mexico Administrative Office of the Courts (AOC) developed this Domestic Violence Training for Frontline Court Staff in 2011.  With AOC’s permission, JEC has placed this training on its website for easy access to court staff and judicial officers.

The training consists of three modules:

  • Domestic Violence Dynamics
  • Domestic Violence Fundamentals
  • Domestic Violence Safety

The training can be viewed as a whole or in parts, and the parts may be viewed in any order that would be helpful to the viewer.  Although designed for frontline court staff, the training provides useful information for all persons within the judicial branch including judges and other judicial officers.

Please keep in mind that this training provides references to the law but is not itself the law.  Refer to statutes and case law for definitive answers to legal questions.
