Who We Are

 

 

What we do
We provide judicial education to New Mexico judges and court staff by providing:

  • Annual professional development conferences for all levels of courts
  • Regional seminars on topics such as domestic violence and DWI issues
  • Monthly video conferences on a variety of  hot topics
  • Benchbooks and manuals on topics such as judicial ethics and traffic citations
  • Online training modules such as the interactive virtual trials and web courses, as well as tutorials on a variety of topics
  • Support for travel to out-of-state educational programs
  • Support for other in-state educational programs, such as CNM’s Judicial Studies Courses and UNM’s Bilingual Communications Certificate Program
  • Track continuing judicial education credits (CJEs)

What we don’t do

  • Answer legal and procedural questions
  • Answer judicial ethics questions
  • Support court software applications
  • Advocate for members of the judiciary
