April 8-11, 2013
The National Judicial College will hold the course Commercial Driver’s Licensing Laws: A Judicial Outreach Workshop in Reno, NV, on April 8-11, 2013.
The NJC is pleased to offer this class without charge to the participant through a generous grant from the Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration. Included in the funding are round-trip transportation, lodging, per diem, the cost of tuition, and all class materials. In this four-day course judges, ALJs and hearing officers will study the federal requirements on adjudicating cases involving commercial driver’s license holders. In addition, participants will receive presentation training on adult learning theory and PowerPoint creation.
By the end of the course, participants will be expected to have started on the development of a 50-minute PowerPoint presentation on a CDL topic. To receive CLE for the class, participants will complete their presentation after the course and submit it to the NJC within 30-days. The purpose of the class is to encourage participants to utilize their presentations in various judicial outreach programs.
