Role of the Judicial Education and Training Advisory Committee (JETA)

Oversight of the Judicial Education Center

The New Mexico Judicial Education Center is located within the Institute of Public Law at the University of New Mexico School of Law. The JEC Director reports to the School of Law Dean.

Judicial Education and Training Advisory Committee

In addition, JEC is overseen by a 14-member Judicial Education and Training Advisory Committee (JETA) created by the New Mexico Supreme Court. The Supreme Court appoints JETA members for three-year terms. Members include representatives from New Mexico courts, court-related agencies and the legislature. JETA meets three to four times per year to review and advise on JEC's programs, plans and finances.

The current official members of JETA are listed below. Some members are represented at JETA meetings by a delegate.
